About Me
Jalani Morgan (he/him) is an award-winning, Toronto-based photographer and visual storyteller with over 20 years of experience. His work is part of As We Rise: Photography from the Black Atlantic, a traveling exhibition exploring Black identity and community. Featured in collections such as the Art Gallery of Ontario and the University of Toronto’s Hart House, his photography captures cultural nuance and authenticity. As Photo Director at West End Phoenix and the founding Photo Editor of 3 Magazine, he has shaped compelling visual narratives while championing ethical journalism and mentorship.
Morgan’s editorial and documentary work has appeared in The Globe and Mail, Maclean’s, The Local, Travel + Leisure, ESPN, and West End Phoenix. His practice bridges art, journalism, and community, redefining contemporary photography through powerful, narrative-driven storytelling.
